Sahara Computers and Alcatel-Lucent form African partnership
Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that it has selected Sahara Computers, a leading supplier of information communications & digital lifestyle technology as Value – Added Distributor to address the IP networking market across the region. The new partner, together with 6 other Direct Resellers, will supply Alcatel-Lucent partners and customers with a complete suite of IPT/DATA solutions.
Established in 1997, Sahara Computers is part of Sahara Holdings which has consolidated its position as a front-runner within the realm of empowered ICT organizations by the signing of a R640 Million broad-based partnership in 2006. As part of its expansion strategy, Sahara Computers was interested partnering with a telecommunications leader; for turnkey deployment of state-of–the–art technologies such as Alcatel-Lucent.
